08/2016 Agence France Presse: Worked
for the AFP English sports desk in Paris on a short-term contract for seven
months. The job entailed writing match reports, previews and general sports
news stories, as well as sub-editing and validating content sent to the desk
from around the world.
06/2014 -
Present Eurosport: Joined the Eurosport English commentary team in summer 2014 on a four-month internship.
Then signed a 10-month contract which ended after July of the following year.
Mainly worked writing and reading the Eurosport News bulletins live, but also
contributed to the Bundesliga coverage and scripted and recorded France 24 sports bulletins. Started working back
at Eurosport on a regular freelance basis in November 2015.
08/2015 - Present
AMP Interactive: Work for the official Ligue 1 YouTube channel
on a freelance basis, writing and recording highlights on each match from
game-weeks in the French top flight.
09/2015 - Present
Ma Chaine Sport: Working as a
freelance English commentator for the French sports channel for over a year,
commentating on Portuguese and French football, volleyball, basketball and
handball.
12/2015 - Present
La Gardere Sport: Freelance
commentary on African football matches.
08/2013 The
Guardian: Had a one-week work placement with The Guardian’s sports desk
in London. Had a byline in the paper.
07/2013 Non-League Paper: A two-week
placement with the paper's sports desk in Wimbledon. Wrote various articles
published in the paper.
05/2013 - 09/2013 Signal
Radio: Had a short placement at the Stoke-on-Trent local radio station,
followed by a few audio production shifts.
05/2014 Various:
Had articles about rhythmic gymnastics published in various British local
newspapers as part of final university project, including The Canterbury Times,
the Bath Chronicle and the Swindon Advertiser.
Relevant Skills
Broadcasting: Experienced sports newsreader
after working long-term at Eurosport. Also very comfortable commentating on
various sports.
Writing: Have
written for various publications and gained great writing experience while at
AFP. Excellent sub-editor of sports copy.
IT/web skills: Can
use INews Quark Xpress, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Audition
proficiently and also very comfortable using Myriad, Smooth Edit and Microsoft

Teamwork: Experience working on the
sports desks at Eurosport and AFP gave valuable understanding of how to work
individually as well as with others.
Creativity: Started and ran a blog called
A Sporting Insight (asportinginsight.blogspot.co.uk) while at university,
